Need assistance settling in Canada? We help refugees and immigrants regardless of race, religion, age, or country of origin in adjusting and integrating into Canadian society with individual support services and group sessions in over 30 languages at our Scarborough, Mississauga, and Brampton locations, as well as in libraries, community centres and partner organizations.
The fastest way to acclimate to a new country is to learn the language most people speak at home and at work. Good English language skills will make it easier for refugees and immigrants to settle, find jobs, access key services, connect with new people or community resources, and integrate seamlessly.
We provide confidential services to help newcomer women and their children cope with domestic abuse, live without violence, find safe and affordable housing, and address mental health challenges. We help newcomer youth get the support they need to be all they can be through our Settlement Workers in Schools program.
We stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the world’s most vulnerable, especially those forced to flee their homeland. Our Refugee Sponsorship Training Program (RSTP) provides support to groups across Canada that sponsor refugees for resettlement under the Private Sponsorship of Refugees and the Blended Visa Office Referred programs. We are also active social innovation advocates as lead agency for the Toronto East Quadrant Local Immigration Partnership.
